Projects:

Curiosity:

I am currently developing a mathematical model of curiosity. This project attempts to formalize the concept of a curious agent, whether it is a robot, an animal or a person, and try to characterize its behavior. I am currently working, with my advisor Prof. Ehud Ahissar, to formulate a new theory of curiosty and compliment it with simulations and experiments with rat whiskers.

Quantum Physics:

Quantum physics, and especially quantum information processing, will revolutionize the world with faster quantum computers and completely secure quantum communication and cryptography. However, it's very hard and many problems are still unsolved on the way to the promised (quantum) land. I have been working, with my advisor Prof. Gershon Kurizki, on a general formalism to overcome the most burning issue that stands in the way of quantum computation: decoherence.

Quantum Games:

Quantum physics is usually considered a scary and daunting field of research. It's a major conversation-stopper. However, I believe that is a misguided view and that quantum physics requires a simple "switch" in perspective. My lovely wife and myself have been working on introducing the novel and counter-intuitive concepts of quantum physics via Quantum Computer Games. We believe that through games, people, and especially children, can be exposed and educated in this wonderful new world.
